Listing in a Local City Sub Directory
Why should you consider listing your web site in a local city directory?
First of all, studies show that many people use the internet and especially directories to locate what they want. As a local merchant, business person or church pastor, your services mean little the web sufer who needs what you offer close to home.
Buy targeting your listing to the specifc state, city, town, of the person searching, the probability of being contacted by the potential customer is greatly increased.
How do I list in a Local Directory?
First navigate to the Suggest A Site area of MyCCBA Safe Search.
Second, enter the Site URL (web address begining with http://www.yoursite.com) of the web site or web page being added to MyCCBA Safe Search and click Submit.
Third, use the drop down box 'Please Select a main Category' to select the main category listing. For a Local City Submission this will be Local City Search.
The page will refresh.
The category path will show Top:Local City Search
Forth, now the drop down box will ask you to select a sub-category. Select the state or province desired.
The page will refresh.
The category path will show Top:Local City Search:Your State
Fifth, the drop down box will ask you to select a another sub-category. Select the city, town or economic region desired.
The page will refresh.
The category path will show Top:Local City Search:Your State: Your City or Region.
Sixth, if you selected an economin region, the drop down box will ask you to select a another sub-category. Select the specific city or town desired. Otherwise go to step seven.
The page will refresh.
The category path will show Top:Local City Search:Your State: Your Region : Your City
Seventh, you should now be in the correct directory to list your site.
Eight, complete the form, Check Spelling if desired and click 'Suggest Your Site Now!'.
Ninth, optional, if you have any problems the screen will highlight these in red. Simply follow the instruction and click 'Suggest Your Site Now!'.
Local Listing Tips
To help you befound when performing a search, use as a keyword the name of your city, state or ecomnomic region.
