Health Care Concerns

"You can live a healthier and longer life!"

It is true and many Americans are learning just how they can live longer and healthier. Through proper diet, exercise, vitamins and herbal supplments we are discovering that we can live well into our 80's, 90's and even to 100 or more.

This is a great blessing from God! But it comes with challenges Americans have not had to face previously. When you consider other environmental changes such as changes in the work force, retirement and the plans provided by employers we are quickly focused on the fact that we need to find some new options for obtaining healthcare and health insurance.

One change over the past 10-15 years is increased number of self employed persons. In many cases these people do not have an employer sponsored health care program. This results in them having to go without health insurance entirely or to pay standard rates typically higher than the discounted rates offered employee groups.

The same scenario plays out for our retired folks. While medicare picks up some costs, our seniors have to find private sources for supplemental and long term care plans.

What are some option?

Many people don't know associations can offer group insurance programs similar to the employer sponsored plans offered by large corporations. With these plans you are 100% responsible for the premium payments, but rates are discounted similar to those provided to employers.

The CCBA is one such association working to develop and sponsoring plans for health and long term care insurance. As these plans become available we will update this page. We will also be sending out email updates to all CCBA Gold and Platinum Club Memebers. If you are a member you will receive these update. If not, why not join the CCBA today.
